Very rare to find premier model by May Freres called Bebe Mascotte from France around 1888th. , a rare example which has most dramatic decoration around her wonderful eyes , fine quality of pale bisque on original body and condition !!
Has wonderful pale bisque socket head of best quality with large blue glass paperweight inset eyes with dramatic around painting . Has dark eyeliner and lushly painted lashes. Wonderful rose blushed eye shadow and thick brush stroked brows. Accented nostrils at each eye corner and nostrils .... Closed mouth with outlines heart shaped kiss lips , pierced ears and wonderful brunette mohair wig over cork pate .
Mademoiselle has her original French composition and wooden fully jointed body with original finish .
Head mark at back ... Mascotte H.
Her complete condition is generally excellent , bisque are free of damage , repair and hairline . Body has well done old color repair at her arm otherwise good condition as well.
She is beautifully costumed with her original set of under garments , stocking and French shoes. Very beautiful all hand sewn white gown with lace bonnet.... possible complete original to this stunning doll !
