Superb all Original French Bisque Smiling Poupee by Bru

Very beautiful all original 14" ( 36 cm ) fashion doll by Bru so called " Smiling Bru " ..... inspired by Empress Eugenie !!

Best quality of bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate and marvelous slender oval face with elongated throat !

Has almond shaped blue glass enamel inset eyes with fine painted lashes and brows. Aquiline nose and closed mouth with enigmatic and very charming smile ( which is typical for this type of poupee ) !!! Pierced ears ( one earring hole open as tiny factory flaw ) , hand made blonde mohair wig over cork pate .

Head mark with ... C Generally excellent bisque condition...free of damage , hairline or other !! Head inside red stamp of on doll store " Jacobelli ..... ( hard to read ) "

Original French kid body with square - cut collorette , gusset jointed at hips and knees, original bisque arms with fine modeled fingers ( note well done finger repair at both hands).

Wearing all original with fine set of under garments , superb fashion gown with long train and bustle of couturier quality , socks and shoes with heels and finally on pretty bonnet.

Superb all original condition of wonderful and rare poupee by Leon Casimir Bru .... France around 1870 believed to portrait the Empress Eugenie !!!
