Superb French Blue silk Costume with matching Bonnet

Very beautiful two color blue silk costume with matching bonnet ..... fit perfect for French or German doll about around 18" ( 46 cm ) ...for Jumeau - Steiner - Bru - Gaultier or other pretty Doll !

The dress and bonnet are most hand sewn of midnight and sky blue silk , beautiful midnight blue silk velvet and a lot of fine trim and accessory. It is on three piece outfit ..... on very nice French style jacket with hand ruffled silk front of pale blue silk matching to the skirt.

Both sides , the long small inset sleeves and also the back side are from midnight blue striped silk , silk velvet at both front edged and stand up collar. Beautiful hand made silk cord trim ornate also the left and right front side and also the longer back part of the jacket. The sleeves are fine ornate with "puff" at shoulders and silk velvet cuffs and lace decoration around each wrist. The longer back side are typical French with "Que de Paris" ..... ornate with flowers ornament buttons and silk bows. It is to open and close at side of front with hooks and metal eyes.

To the jacket belongs a beautiful three parts skirt .... of hand embroidery lace over on sky blue silk skirt and finally on pretty organza skirt with lace hem. Has store label of Paris couture shop at waistline and would close at back with hook .

Finally belongs a beautiful blue silk velvet bonnet to this costume.... it is fully of small ruffles and pleats , on high brim which would hold of on small rack of wire inside and is fine ornate with silk bows, velvet flower and feather trim. Inside here lined with gauze.....

Long from neck to hem ..... circa 13" ( 33 cm )

Waist around ........... 12,5" ( 31 cm )

One of a kind outfit in generally excellent fabric condition at 19th. century ( small melting part at skirt hem silk ) and never to find such the same again !!!
