Marvelous French Aqua Blue Silk Costume with Bonnet

Most hand sewn antique aqua blue silk sateen costume fully of pretty and elegant details in generally excellent fabric condition at 19th. century...... fit perfect for French or German doll about circa 23" ( 59 cm ) .... for Jumeau , Steiner , Bru , FG , Edene Bebe or other pretty dolls in your collection.

Beautiful one of a kind dress with small 8 row pleated front part of cream and aqua silk and fine lace pleats. Both front sides and the upper back are from light blue striped silk , has hand made silk cord decoration at front edged and nice lace collar around the stand up collar. Ruffled puff at both shoulders of sleeves and lace pleats at cuffs. Beautiful back side of four lose upper parts and aqua blue silk sateen skirt with large silk decoration around the skirt. On pretty pale blue silk sash and matching ribbons at both front sides.

Inside is the dress fine lined with gauze and on hand embroidery cotton slip..... please see my pictures. It would close at back side with small hooks and loops.

To the elegant dress belongs a matching silk bonnet.... fully with ruffles and pleats outside decoration and typical French high front brim. This is covered with the same pretty French lace like the dress skirt ..... and large pale blue silk bow with pretty silk flowers bouquet ornate the high bonnet front. It is inside fine lined with cream gauze and a small rack of wire inside the the brim hold the bonnet always in perfect form !

The condition of the dress and bonnet are generally excellent about the antique fabric of the 19th. century.... note a small color different at fabric and tiny holes at the lace... but all not disturbing.

Dress length from neck to hem ...... circa 14,5" ( 37 cm )

Shoulder to shoulder .......... circa 6" ( 16 cm )

Waist around .......... circa 15" ( 38 cm )

One of a kind French outfit which you will never find such the same again !!!
