Pretty all Original French Eden Clown

Very nice all original French Eden Clown by Fleischmann & Bloedel around 19th. Century, not often to find and with funny look of wonderful all original condition and costume !!

Has typical molded paper mache socket head with very nice original face decoration of butterflies of each cheek and typical clown painting at his eyes . He has blue enamel glass inset eyes and fine painted lashes. Brushstroked and multi-feathered brows and on open mouth with tiny teeth . Brunette mohair wig with curls. Original five piece paper mache body with straight wrists and original body painting.

He wears his beautiful original three color silk costume in pink, burgundy and black with large clown buttons , cream muslin and lace collar , wide pump pants which are inside filled with soft cotton wool so that they hold her form ..... Original black stocking and leather shoes , finally cream flannel felt hat with flower.

He is with his hat 16" ( 40 cm ) and in generally excellent condition...... free of damage , repair , hairline or other big problem. Some melting at his original silk costume .... which was never removed from his body.

Very pretty and funny guy which was very popularity in France at 19th. century and offer in different exemples of Etrennes Catalog´s !!
