Pretty French Two-Color Silk Bebe Costume with matching Bonnet

Very beautiful one of a kind French silk costume .... perfect for on French or German doll about around 24" / 25" ( 62 - 64 cm ) .... fit perfect for size 12 EJ Jumeau .... Tete Jumeau , Steiner , Bru , Gaultier or other pretty doll in your collection.

Wonderful most hand sewn two color silk dress in cream and aqua blue , has nice flowers woven pattern in the blue strips and the complete dress is fully with fine French details. Has hand made flowered pattern lace , cream silk satin ribbons with bows and silk cord trim. Both sleeves are with shoulder puff and fine lace ruffled wrists. Small hand made pleats at front and back and the skirt is also ornate matching to the upper part of dress.

Closure at back with hooks and small metal eyes and complete lined inside with cream cotton and pretty cotton and lace slip which looks a little under the dress hem. To the dress belongs a ivory silk bonnet... has round back of fine French lace and silk and a large silk ruffled row around the edged . Three small rows of lace and on larger ruffled row of silk ornate the head front , finally silk ribbon at both sides to hold the bonnet under the doll chin and on pretty bow and wax flowers decoration at brim. Inside fine lined with cream silk .... and it is all hand sewn !!

The costume is in generally excellent fabric condition from around 1890 , the silk has tiny melting parts but this are not disturbing.

Long at front from neck to hem.... circa 16" ( 41 cm )

Waist around ............... circa 16,5" ( 42 cm )
