Pretty French Bebe Silk and Muslin Costume with Bonnet

Childlike and so pretty one of a kind French Bebe dress with matching lace bonnet which would fit perfect for one of your favorite French or German doll about around 23" / 24" ( 60 cm ).

Most hand sewn and fully ornate with wonderful details , look´s like on French jacket dress but is a one piece . The upper front and back are from light blue silk satin with lace collar and French ruffled lace at middle of the front. Matching color 3/4 long sleeves with lace decoration at wrist and on cream silk sash at waistline divide the jacket from the muslin skirt .

The skirt is very beautiful all hand embroidery with little roses and ornate around the hem with a row of fine French lace. At middle of the skirt has the dress an inset part of lace which has tiny pale blue silk strips. Finally ornate with flower buttons and some light blue bows and back closure with hooks and eyes.

Inside fine lined with cream cotton and pale blue muslin slip !!

To the dress belongs a beautiful lace wire bonnet with round head and fine cream silk and lace strips at back. Two row of pleated lace ornate the edged around , at front also with blue and cream silk ribbon loops. On small wax flowers bouquet are finishing touch here and with cream silk ribbons you can hold the bonnet under the doll chin ! Inside fine lined with muslin and a small rack of wire hold the bonnet always in perfect form !

Total length from neck to hem ..... circa 16" ( 41 cm )

Shoulder to shoulder ..... circa 6,5" ( 17 cm )

Waist around .......... circa 15" ( 39 cm )

One of a kind costume witch you would never find such the same again !!

Generally excellent fabric condition from France circa 1880 , note small melting at the cream silk sash , not disturbing !!
