Rare Psyche Paper Doll with many Wonderful Paper Clothing

Rare to find " Psyche " paper doll with original wood stand and 11 extra clothes , all painted by hand in wonderful colors and together in generally excellent condition to age ..... France circa 1840 / 50

Psyche was given to each new subscriber of the " Journal Demodes " around 1840 , a popular women magazine at this time. With it a hand painted cut out dress or accessory ensemble arrived each week with this magazin. And as special bonus was the little paper fashion doll and a wooden stand , Psyche change her look several times during the years of production .............

Included this rare paper doll set on black haired little adult women with simple dress wearing . She owns 11 elaborate gowns that are double sides for simple wearing , both sides of gowns are fine hand painted with beautiful details . Possible to slipped the dress over the doll´s head for dressing and in a second she has on wonderful different look with elegant gown and a lot of painted accessory. Included of the 11 clothes a very nice head shawl ..........

The complete paper doll set was found in a nice antique box , it is not the original one but she was more as one hundred years are very safely stored in it !! Size of the doll without her wooden stand are ......... 2 3/4" ( 7,5 cm ) Clothes are ............. 2 3/4" / 7,5 cm )

Complete generally excellent condition... a little dusty but not disturbing !!
