Lovely Bisque Bebe Louvre by Jumeau Factory Special Series / 1890

It´s a very beautiful and rare to find French " HaPpY " face bisque Bebe ... called " Bebe Louvre " from Jumeau factory circa 1890 from a special series of commissioned Bebe´s from Jumeau for luxury Paris department stores . For different department stores in Paris like Printemps , Samaritaine , Louvre Store and other of this produced the Jumeau factory a special bisque Bebe with original Jumeau body but which was never mark by Jumeau . Each department store Bebe get a special signature on the head and a characteristic Jumeau artist checkmarks.

My lovely 17" ( circa 43 cm ) Bebe was special produced for Paris Louvre Department store ...... has finest quality bisque socket head with deep modeling and pretty blue glass paperweight inset eyes . Dark encircling eyeliner , painted lashes and brush - stroked and multi-feathered brows. Has accented nostrils and eye corners , open mouth with row of porcelain teeth between outlined lips , has cute hint of smile . Pierced ears with glass earrings and original blonde hand made curled mohair wig over cork pate.

Generally excellent bisque condition , free of damage , chip , hairline or repair . Jumeau factory about circa 1890 ....

She has here original French composition and wooden fully jointed body with original body finish by Jumeau factory but typical without Jumeau marks. Generally excellent body condition to age with small not disturbing color problem .

Wearing very beautiful with antique muslin blouse and white pique sleeve lose dress , pink silk bonnet , stocking and shoes , finally antique undergarments with slip .

Lovely happy face Bebe....... a great treasure for your doll collection , special if you a fan of Maison Jumeau :))
