Special 1886 this guys was offered in five different sizes in the catalog of " Grands Magasins de Louvre " and was offered in different materials ... but the lovely early ones was always from Paper-Mache like my very beautiful character facew one in this offer !!

Hi is in all original condition from France circa 1885 ..... with typical character face of an classic Polichinelle features and finest painting and original silk sateen outfit in cream and pale pink .

Beautiful character face expression of classic paper mache guy , has beautiful painted facial features with attention to blushing and beaming smile . All perfect condition .... free of damage or repair. Has on block torso with characteristic torso and back humps and straw filled body . Wooden lower limps with hands and over-sized feet with modeled paper-mache shoes.

Her wears his original cream and light pink silk satin Polichinelle suit and matching jester cap , each trimmed with gold braid and has cream frings. Has original lace jabot and cuffs , silk ribbons and brass bell .

All complete in generally excellent condition to age .... is only a little dusty and please note some melting at his original silk outfit because of the age ......
