Early all original paper mache poupee for the French market about around 1845/49 preserved in original oval wooden box and included some extra clothing like trousseau . A beautiful doll with provenance , she belonged to the familie of " Madame Elise - Jules Mutheaus " and the box are date at 1849. It was not a rich familie but they had this beautiful doll over several generations until the familie sold it for some month to me. It is a all original condition and most beautiful early French paper mache Lady 17 " ( 44 cm ) , has most beautiful and gentle expression and best condition to age. She has an paper mache shoulder head with oval face with elongated throat and almond shaped black enamel eyes. Dark eyeliner , single stroke brows and pale painted of eye lashes over modeled eye lid. She has an open mouth with two row of tiny bamboo teeth and a long slim nose , fine modeled pierced ears with her original earrings and original very beautiful human hair brunette wig with lovely curled hairstyle over her original black painted head ground . She has her original slim kid body with very shapely torso and stitched seperate fingers . The doll has generally excellent condition to her age , her pretty paper mach head has all original finish .... and is free of damage or other big problem. She has small rubbed nose tip because she got too many kisses from her family owner before :)) Note some tiny holes at her head ground because of same nails which hold her wig before ..... Her body condition is generally excellent without any problems..... it´s very sturdy ... Wears with beautiful original clothing , muslin blouse with wool vest with waist pad , fine colored linen skirt and black wool upper skirt , has under skirt and bloomers , brown stocking an lovely blue shoes with frays. She is preserved in her original oval wood box with lid ..... filled with straw upholstery and included some extra clothing for the doll. Another pretty wool skirt and lovely cotton apron, a matching black silk jacket and skirt , an black silk velvet short jacket and a lovely bustle pillow filled with fine straw. Her clothing has some melting at the black silk outfit and at her muslin blouse .... all other in good condition to her age.
