~~~ Lovely Antique French Poupee Gown from 19th. Century ~~~~

Lovely antique two piece fashion gown of fine cream muslin and pale purple dots , has skirt with bustle back , is all hand sewn and in generally good condition to age at 19th. century.... only a little dusty and fade at front... Pretty long sleeves jacket with bustle back and front closure with button and hand made button holes. Has ruffled plead decoration at edged of wrist an jacket hem . The pretty matching muslin skirt is longer train in back with bustle back . Is a pretty full skirt with variant width of the box pleats around wrist . Has six rows of ruffles all around the skirt and would close at front with hook and hand made loop. The jacket is inside fine lned with soft cotton and would fit well for your French poupee around 15" ( 40 cm )

Total length from neck to skirt hem at front ................ circa 12" ( 31 cm ) Shoulder to shoulder ................... 3 1/2" ( 9 cm ) Waist around .................. circa 7,5" ( 19 cm )
