Very beautiful early French poupee with imposing presence ,has wonderful pale and fine bisque quality and painting , very flat un-pierced ears , original sturdy kid body and wearing superb silk enfantine costume !!!
16" ( 41 cm ) ...rare to find and so beautiful doll with fine pale complexioned bisque shoulder head with dark cobald blue enamel eyes . Has dark eyeliner and delicately painted lashes, lightly feathered brows. Closed mouth with finest outlined lips . Flat un-pierced ears and pale blonde mohair wig over cork pate .... all original to the doll !
Sturdy clean original kid poupee body with shapely torso and gusset-jointing at knees. Has separat stitched fingers and jointing at shoulders and elbows.
All complete in generally excellent condition..... here head is free of damage , repair , chip or hairline .....
Wearing very beautiful antique silk and netting enfantine style costume ( note small silk melting ) and set of under garments , light pink socks and lovely replaced shoes.
Rare and marvelous early doll ....ready to display and enjoy from France around 1860 !!
