Rare French Polichinelle in all Original Condition

A Polichinelle was very popular in France until after the end of 19th. century and it was the most used symbol on publicity poster or Department Store and luxury Doll Store catalogs in Paris !! They was to find in different sizes and styles but always wearing very lavish and special .......
This 16,5 " ( 42 cm ) total size beautiful Polichinelle is in generally excellent and all original condition from 19th. Century .
Has lovely bisque head with fine bisque and painting . He has amber brown glass inset eyes with fine painted lashes and brows. Open mouth with tiny row of porcelain teeth between his outlined lips and nice white mohair wig .
Has paper-mache torso with typical shaped humps at front and back torso , rare bisque hands ( one thumb are missing ) , wooden lower legs and feet . Otherwise straw-filled lower limbs .... all in perfect condition.
Wearing pretty cream silk jester costume ornate with pretty lace cuffs and large jabot , knit tights , cream silk slippers . Fully decorate costume with decorative gold paper and gild trim , silk ribbons and matching jester cap ........
Typical pulling straps to hold and with it to put up and down .......
France around 1890/ 95 in generally all perfect condition. Bisque head are free of damage , hairline , repair or other problem......
