Rare found of all original French Nun Poupee in her original costume with accessorys and preserving !! From important privat collector which he kept more as 40 years in his cllection !!
Wonderful all original and rare to find Nun fashion doll which are preserved in her simple linen covered wicker box which the doll was prefered from a very religious women how lifs in a French cloistered one under vows of poverty .... chastity and obedience her complete life at 19th. century !She owns only this doll in order to participate in her family through them on special holidays on Easter and Christmas by sending the doll in her basket to her familie !After the holidays the doll would be send back in the Monastery !
Outstanding 13" ( 34 cm ) all original French poupee by Jumeau with best quality of bisque and painting , wonderful large eyes and pale expression , original sturdy kid poupee body and beautiful wearing all complete antique nun costume and lovely accessorys.
Here pale bisque swivel head on kid edged bisque shoulder plate is in generally excellent condition , free of damage , chip , repair or hairline. Has very beautiful large blue enamel inset eyes with dark eyeliner and finest painted lashes and brows.
Closed mouth with fine outlined lips and pierced ears, cork pate !!
She has her original French kid body with gusset - jointing at elbows , hips and knees , stitched and separate fingers. Her body is in generally excellent condition ... very sturdy and clean.
All complete from France circa 1875 ........ gorgeous expression of on original poupee , rare to find in this all complete original Nun condition and a treasure for your collection to enjoy !!!Included belongs a trading " Chocolaterie " card with the history of the " Cathedral of Beauvais " and we think that this Cathedral belongs to the life on the first doll owner ....
