Rare French Jester Bebe in all Original Condition

Lovely 14,5 " ( 37 cm ) total size beautiful Jester or Polichinelle which is in near mint and all original condition from 19th. Century .
Has lovely bisque head with fine bisque and painting , lovely dark brown glass sleep eyes with fine painted lashes and brows. Tiny open mouth with row of porcelain teeth between his outlined lips and nice pale blonde mohair wig .
Has paper-mache torso with typical shaped humps at front and back torso , wooden hands and lower legs and feet . Otherwise straw-filled lower limbs .... all in perfect like mint condition.
Wearing superb cream and light pink silk jester costume ornate with pretty lace cuffs and large jabot , knit tights , silk slippers . Fully ornate costume with decorative gold paper and gild trim , silk ribbons and matching jester cap ........
Typical pulling straps to hold and with it to put up and down .......
France around 1890/ 95 in generally all perfect condition. Bisque head are free of damage , hairline , repair or other problem...... Produced for the French market by Simon and Halbig 1079 ( Germany )
A Polichinelle or Jester was very popular in France until after the end of 19th. century and it was the most used symbol on publicity poster or Department Store and luxury Doll Store catalogs in Paris !! They was to find in different sizes and styles but always wearing very lavish and special .......
