Beautiful rare to find all original early French kneeling wooden prayer chair from Huret era about aroound 1865 / 70 th. suitably sized for display with poupee or smaller Bebe about around 14" to 17" .
A called " Prie - Dieu " prayer chair with original black finish and hand crafted wooden cross inside the back. Has original gold painting details and pretty original blue silk upholstery on seat and hand rest .
The silk has good condition to age , note silk melting at the hand rst which would be covered by a all muslin hanky from the same era like this rare chair !!
Has typical short wooden legs , the front ones are ornate with gold decoration as well.
Generally excellent condition to age with total high of 9,5" ( 23 cm ) and seat high at middle about 3 " ( 8 cm )
