Stunning French Bebe by Emile Jumeau of the first period around 1878 known of " Portrait " and from the era of ~ Gold Medal ~ award at the Paris Exposition , produced only short time at this luxury type !
A Bebe with very delicate pale pressed bisque and beautifully painted features , original body and body finish and wearing couture silk costume with bonnet !!
She has finest quality of pale pressed bisque socked head with beautiful blue glass enamel inset eyes , dark eyeliner and fine painted lashes. Pale rose blushed eye shadow and brush-stroked and feathered brows. She has closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips and little space between lips with dipled corner. Separately modeled and pierced ears . Sweet dimpled chin and beautiful culed blonde mohair wig over cork pate.
Incised head mark at back ..... 10 and artist checkmark
France by Emile Jumeau size 10 ( 22" / 58 cm )from first priod circa 1878th.
Original French composition and wooden eight - loose - ball body with original body finish and straight wrists with typical large hands. Body mark at back with blue Jumeau stamp .....
All complete generally excellent condition .... free of damage , repair or hairline . To note a not disturbing small earring hole chip at one of her ears.
The rare doll is wearing very beautiful with set of antique under garments , socks and French shoes ! Beautiful silk velvet couture costume with matching bonnet in burgundy red.
