Very sweet French bisque Emile Jumeau Bebe in lovely size 8 by Maison E.J. Jumeau , Paris around 1880. Has all complete original and excellent condition of a very nice early bisque Bebe of E.J. period with luminous eyes by mauve blushing , original wig , body and beautiful clothing !!
18" ( 46 cm ) Bebe with pale pressed bisque socket head of best quality and painting , stunning blue enamel glass inset eyes with dark eyeliner which encircles her eye cute. Fine and long painted lashes , brush stroked and feathered brows.
She has on deep modeled closed mouth with defined pale space between her shaded and accented lips. Pierced ears with original earrings and wonderful original curled blonde mohair wig over cork pate .
Marks at back of her perfect head ; Inside .... 8 E.J. Depose and artist check mark
Generally excellent bisque condition..... free of hairline , damage , repair or other bisque problem !!
Original French paper mache and wooden full articulated body with original body finish. Jumeau blue stamp at back ...... straight wrist. Has generally good condition to age ... note little color refresh at her upper legs ...
Stunning wearing with her lovely white pique costume with bustle back and pretty high brim straw bonnet , rich set of under garments , Jumeau socks and mark shoes with silk rosettes by Maison Emile Jumeau .... one sole are missing about age ...
