Lovely all original 12" ( 31 cm ) " Uncle SAM " bisque portrait doll for the US market by German factory ~ Cuno and Otto Dressel ~ of the series of American historical heroes .... Germany circa 1890th.
Very distinctively sculpted Character bisque socket head of best quality of bisque and painting , has nicely inset brown glass eyes and thick modeled brush stroked grey brows. His funny face has deep incised age lines with red outlines , a very pronounced nose and jutting chin. He has a closed smiling mouth with fine painted lips and protruding ears.
Funny brunette human hair and original Sonneberger composition and wooden fully jointed body with original finish .... Hands has an old color refresh....
Complete generally excellent condition.... bisque are free of damage , hairline , chip or other problem
Wearing lovely original history costume of striped pair of pans with jacket and hat. Stocking and shoes in condition as is . Very nice longer night skirt with matching night cap ... which looks so funny :))
Uncle Sam is a so curiously and funny guy which is smiling in a gentle manner that he bring every day a smile on your face when you see him in your collection ...
