Mademoiselle Barrois with her Trousseau with provenance , ca. 1868th.

From a private family in south of France we got this early Mademoiselle and her original trousseau . A most beautiful little French Poupee about 12" ( 31 cm )preserved with her rich trousseau in her original trunk !

The doll with her accessories was a Christmas gift from an uncle of the family around 1875 to the little daughter " Pauline " ( a picture from the girl as she was around 4 years old is included ) . Unfortunately Pauline passed away only three years later .

It is a most beautiful little fashion doll with pale bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate. She has pretty blue inset enamel eyes with dark encircling eyeliner and finest painting of long lashes and feathered brows. Has closed mouth and pierced flat ears inside the head ... one of her original earrings is gone ! Pretty original blonde mohair wig over cork pate .

She has her original V - shaped kid teen poupee body which is in excellent near mint condition , has tiny stitched and separate fingers.

Her under shirt and the stockings was never removed from the body !

The complete condition of this wonderful doll with her trousseau is generally excellent ............ Mademoiselle has fine bisque head and breast plate , free of damage , chip or repair

Wearing very nice all original white pique enfantine costume with velvet bonnet , rich under garments with stocking and flat booties ( button are missing )

Included her rich trousseau are beautiful silk gowns and under garments , different hats. A lovely garden costume with clogs and straw bonnet in a hat box . A extra box preserved a very nice French porcelain tea set with picnic blanket and napkins. A small mandolin provides the entertainment at Mademoiselles afternoon picnic :))

All what you can see you will find in her rich Trousseau which is preserved with the lovely doll in her early wooden trunk.

All her clothing are in generally good condition to age ... little dusty and un-washed , has small loose parts and tiny melting about the age !The blue gown has well done back repair . The trunk has some stain inside at the striped paper ...
