Very rare 18" ( 46 cm ) French Poupee with most beautiful and unusual complexion and expression from circa 1867th. likely created for the Paris international exposition about this time special for wealthy international travelers from India or Persia ...
Unusual doll with wonderful golden amber complexion of pressed bisque swivel head and kid edged bisque shoulder plate. Has deep brown glass enamel inset eyes with dark eyeliner and dark curly lashes. Has widely arched one piece browns that meet nearly together and an closed mouth with fine pale accented lips.
Inside the head pierced ears with original black glass earrings and dark brown human hair wig over cork .
The exotic princess owns her original kid pouppe body with gusset-jointing at the hips and knees , has lovely kid over wooden upper arms and golden amber complexion bisque arms from above the elbows with perfect curled fingers !
Her complete condition is generally excellent , bisque are free of damage , repair , chip or hairline !! Lovely original body in sturdy condition without any problems !!
From France circa 1867 from unknown maker , this rare poupee was likely custom created to international royalty which visit the Paris Exposition and only few examples are known to exist !!!
Madame is finally wearing in outstanding antique silk costume with fancy netting decoration , full ornate with thousand of tiny colored sequins and glass stones . Set of under garment with back bustle crinoline , stocking and French heeled booties. A wonderful silk and straw head piece fully ornate with color full silk flowers complete her fantastic princess gown.
Her wonderful dress has good condition to age , please note melting on the silk and same small problem on her netting ...
