Most beautiful and rare to find early 17" Enfantine poupee by Leontine Rohmer .... circa 1858 .... full-marked on her original body and wearing with so nice antique costume .
This rare to find Mademoiselle has very cute facial expression with finest painting on her pale bisque porcelain head with flat-cut neck socket. Lovely painted blue eyes with thick dark upper eyeliner. Fine painted lightly feathered brows and lashes , has accented nostrils and closed mouth with center accent line.
Very flat un-pierced ears and lovely replaced blonde mohair wig because her original one was gone in the years .
Her bisque head is original close by her cork pate with for Rohmer typical metal pin system !!
She has her original early horse hair stuffed kid poupee body with kid over wooden upper arms and porcelain arms to above the elbows ! Gusset jointing at hips , kid over wooden jointed at knees with kid lower legs.Rohmer stamp on her body !!
This stunning early French poupee has generally excellent condition , her bisque head is free of repair , damage , chip or hairline , to note three missing finger tips ( please ask about special pictures if you need ) otherwise her body is excellent as well to her age !
Superb wearing with set of under garments with stocking and booties , lovely muslin blouse silk and lace skirt with matching jacket and as finally a pretty lace bonnet !
Especially beautiful early model by Leontine Rohmer with superb painting on plump face with expressive features , original stamped early and rare body style and fine antique costume !!
